Services

In our role as 2007 Flora London Marathon Clinic we helped many runners overcome injuries to complete the race, the bulk of this work came in the last few weeks prior to the race. Although virtually all the runners completed the race, a few had to drop out despite all their hard work and dedication. This year we would like to provide a service to all our customers, whatever their expected finishing time, more in line to that used by our elite clients -aiming to prevent injuries before they set in.

Biomechanical Analysis, computerised, digital gait analysis at race pace on our treadmill, performed by top Sports Podiatrist Barry Richards, who specialises in running injuries. If we can eradicate biomechanical problems we can reduce the instances of overuse injury by use of orthotics or prescription of stretching and stabilising exercises.

Cost :gait analysis £45/ hr

Sports Massage, is increasingly being recognised as an important component of a runners overall training plan. At athlete matters we see several athletes, including Great Britain International athletes on a regular basis, most monthly, some weekly, not to treat injuries, but to prevent them, we’d much prefer to treat you fit that treat you injured. We achieve this by maintaining muscle tone and length, working to remodel scar tissue and to remove the metabolic waste resulting from hard training or competition. Sports massage is also an important component of our approach to physiotherapy rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries.
